Silver crisis and banking industry in Tianjin
摘要/Abstract
摘要：
天津作为华北金融中心，其金融业发展受到1934年白银风潮的严重冲击。国民政府为了扭转白银外流的局面，采取了应对政策和措施。但实际上未能达到有效遏制和化解白银风潮的破坏作用。在天津金融业中占据主导地位的天津银行业出于行业、地区金融安全的考虑，开始讨论、实施联合应对、化解风潮的可能。
Abstract：
Tianjin is a financial center of north China, severely hit by the silver crisis in 1934. The national government takes countermeasures to curb the silver outflow, but it is much too hard to effectively take effect. Likewise, the banking industry, or dominant financial industry, grows anxious to adopt joint measures in Tianjin to secure financial security.
