The aesthetics of the diet in pre-Qin
摘要/Abstract
早在先秦时期, 经过人们长期的饮食实践, 不断地探索与尝试, 在饮食器具、食材准备以及饮食过程等各方面呈现出深层的精神审美意蕴。先秦饮食审美中的“形”与“色”、“味”、“意”共同构成了先秦饮食的审美追求。“形”以直观、具体的面貌呈现出先秦时期的饮食状态, 它是更“表层”的审美追求。先秦饮食“形”之审美主要表现为“饮食器皿之形美”、“食物之形美”、“食物陈设之形美”、“饮食者之形美”等四个方面。先秦先民们所重视的对饮食“形”之审美, 均是从实际饮食活动中归纳出来的, 合“礼”则显其“形”, 合乎其“形”则显之美。
Chinese people have developed their artistic senses of the diets in pre-Qin times. Through their long practices, Chinese foods are given the appraisals and appreciations of the look, color and tasting as their aesthetic pursuant. The look shows the intuitive and specific ways of values of the pre-Qin dynasty, in the beautiful utensils, foods, furnishings and people or eaters. Good ritual gives rise to beautiful looks, which, in turn, beautify the eating culture.
