Syncretism as a creative way of the Chinese culture
摘要/Abstract
摘要：
体用范畴是中国传统的环形辩证思维方式与印度大乘佛教中观论思想相结合过程中成熟起来的哲学范畴，在隋唐佛学及宋明理学中曾广泛运用。体用范畴有“质体功用”与“体用一源”两个意义系统。该范畴体现中国文化精髓和其独特思维方式，“质体功用”与“体用一源”两种意义相结合，提示着中国文化自我创新的合理路径。
Abstract：
The compromise of Chinese traditional dialectical thinking with the Indian Mahayana Buddhism results a philosophical category that remains applied to Buddhism and Confucianism throughout Sui, Tang, Song and Ming dynasties. The category comprises surface and kernel, representing the Chinese specific culture and way of thinking. The syncretism indicates the creative rational way for the Chinese culture.
