转喻作为自然修辞的基本符号机制:从语言媒介到视觉媒介--[在线阅读]

摘要
所谓自然修辞,指的是在对自然进行表现或再现的符号或文本中,运用修辞方法对自然界中的对象实现的转义或逻辑呈现。自然对象由文化赋予意义而再现,依靠的是邻近性和概念的“同框化”,也就是转喻的基本机制。不论是语言媒介还是视觉媒介的自然修辞皆如此,然而,在视觉的自然修辞中,时空影响的邻近联接,还使得自然修辞成为了图像叙述的强有力推动要素。不仅如此,中国山水艺术有着独特的“转喻加提喻”组合修辞机制,因此对自然有着独有的表现方式。转喻在视觉媒介的自然修辞中的基础作用,值得进一步探索。

Metonymy as the Basic Symbolic Mechanism of Rhetoric of Nature: From Language Media to Visual Media

Abstract:
Rhetoric of Nature refers to the figurative sense or logical presentation of objects in nature by rhetorical methods in symbols or texts that represent or reproduce nature. The reappearance of natural objects given meaning by culture relies on contiguity and conceptual integration, which are the basic mechanism of the metonymy. This is true of rhetoric of nature in both language media and visual media. However, in visual rhetoric of nature, association by contiguity affected by time and space makes rhetoric of nature a powerful driving factor for image narration. Moreover, Chinese landscape art has a unique rhetorical mechanism of "metonymy plus synecdoche," hence having a unique way to reproduce nature. The fundamental role of metonymy in rhetoric of nature in visual media deserves further exploration.
