分流教育 分类招生——新加坡大学招生方式及其启示--[在线阅读]

摘要
新加坡实行分流教育体系,学生自中学起便被分流学习普通或职业教育课程,但二者之间可以弹性转换,大学亦为各类学生群体提供多条入学路径。分流的教育体系需要分类的招考机制,其中,大学预科机构的学生主要依据“大学招生分数”,即GCE“A”水准会考成绩以及面试、能力测试等“学院分数”申请大学;理工学院学生则依据理工学院课程成绩、中四或中五毕业时的GCE“O”水准会考成绩申请大学。另外,新加坡实行“自主决策”的录取方式,大学可依据学生学业成绩和非学术活动中的表现,自主决定录取结果。

Streaming in Education and Categorized Enrollment——Singapore University Enrollment Method and Its Enlightenment

Abstract:
Singapore education system carries out a streaming practice. Students are separated from secondary schools to study general or vocational education courses, but the two can be flexibly switched. Universities also provide multiple ways of admission for various groups of students. The streaming education system requires a categorized admission mechanism, in which students from pre-university institutions mainly apply to universities based on “General Certificate of Education,” i.e. GCE “A” level examination results and “college scores” such as interviews and competency tests. Polytechnic students apply to universities based on the grades of polytechnic courses and GCE “O” level examination grades when graduating from Secondary 4 or 5. In addition, Singapore adopts an “autonomous decision” admission method, and universities can independently decide admission results based on students’ academic performance and performance in non-academic activities.
