从姬妾忆传文看明清士人心态--[在线阅读]

摘要
明清时期,士人执笔为自己姬妾所作的忆传文大量涌现,体现了士人对卑弱者的悲悯和一定程度的尊重,有人性光辉在。但细析文本,尤其是与正妻忆传对读,男性士人与其姬妾在社会金字塔上的悬殊地位又在在可见,印证了性别尤其是阶级的不平等在情感关系的建立中是难以逾越的鸿沟。并不鲜见的"宠妾虐妻"叙事在士人忆传中难觅其踪,又是士大夫文化与社会现实和民间文化对照的一个生动样本。姬妾忆传中士人为何言说、如何言说、何者无法言说,及背后的文体、社会思潮、个人思想因素,都是剖析士人心态及其对文体演进之影响的第一手材料。

Scholar Mentality in Ming and Qing Dynasties: A Case Study of Memorial Biographies for Concubines

Abstract:
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, memorial biographies written by scholars for their own concubines emerged in multitude, reflecting the compassion and a certain degree of respect of the scholars for the humble and weak, showing the shining glory of humanity in the scholars. However, from the analysis of the text, especially in comparison with the memorial biographies written for their wives, the disparity was obvious in the social pyramid between the male scholars and their concubines, confirming that gender and class inequality in particular were insurmountable gaps in the establishment of emotional relations. In addition, the narrative of "pampered concubines and ill-treated wives (宠妾虐妻)," which was not uncommon in fictional literature, was difficult to trace in the memorial biographies written by the scholars. It was also a vivid example of the contrast between the scholar culture and social reality and folk culture. Why and how to speak, what cannot be said, and the style, the social ideological trend and the individual thoughts behind such text are the first-hand materials to analyze the mentality of scholars and its influence on the evolution of the writing style of biographies.
